Activities at Djuma Tumbeta House

After a day of game tracking, enjoy the evening out in the courtyard, preparing your evening meal over an open fire.

Go on a private game drive or walking safari with your field guide and tracker during your South African safari. You will have 2 game drives daily - in the morning and afternoon.

With exclusive use of Tumbeta House, you can enjoy the freedom to shape their safari around your own interests. Whether the priority is photography, wildlife viewing, family time or simply slowing down in nature, the experience can be tailored to suit the group.

Guided Game Drives

Twice-daily guided game drives let you explore Djuma Private Game Reserve and search for the reserve's abundant wildlife. Encounters are shaped by the season, conditions and natural movements of the animals, with regular sightings of leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros. Because you have your own private guide and vehicle you will have a truly personalised safari experience.

Wildlife Watching

Time spent at Tumbeta House can be just as rewarding as time spent on a game drive. The private deck and underground hide provide excellent opportunities to sit quietly, observe the surrounding bush and watch animals visiting the nearby pan.

Birdwatching

Djuma supports a rich variety of birdlife, making the reserve an enjoyable destination for birdwatchers as well as those focused on larger game.
